Armed with their Blueprints for Success, our apprentices have been heading out on the road to hear from customers themselves about what makes Chess great.

Earlier this month our six new apprentices visited Barlow’s Agriculture Ltd in Marton, Macclesfield to see first-hand how Chess tailor their products and services to meet the needs of each customer.

Tim Wilkinson-Hall, Group Training Manager at Chess, said:

“It’s important for our apprentices to understand how customers are at the heart of everything we do here at Chess.

“Barlow’s is a local agricultural sales and engineering company that recently took the jump to new world products with us. The visit was a great opportunity for our people to see first-hand the products and services in action. We have a great relationship with Barlow’s Agriculture and supported them in fulfilling their ambitious growth and development plans. They were more than welcoming to us during our visit.”

The visit was part of a 12-day training programme focusing on the Chess Blueprint for Success and our Critical Success Factors, with number one being our customers. The visits will then be followed with classroom sessions delivered by the Knowledge Team.

James Barlow, Managing Director at Barlow’s Agriculture, added:

“Here at Barlow’s we have a great relationship with Chess. Chess played a pivotal part when we moved site in 2015 and their skill and knowledge has enabled our business to grow. It was great to meet the new apprentices today and we were very happy for them to visit our site and see the services we have from Chess.”
